First TC Round Table // Forward Together!

Great leaders take time to gather around the table of input and innovation.

We had a great time hanging with a small group of Pastors from around the NW talking fresh ideas and fundamentals to advance the Church forward!

A morning like this allows each of us to be free to share the real deal of where we’re at so we can get straight to the details of growing our churches.

But unfortunately not all leaders value the role of opening up to input into their decisions. When we isolate ourselves we do a couple things:

  1. We shut out needed insight that can propel us forward or save us from unneeded pain!
  2. We shut out fresh innovative ideas. (& if we don’t innovate we die)

When I reflect on the Round Table this simple truth from God’s word comes to mind:

TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE

* Future dates for Round Table & One Day experiences will be announced later this year.

We’re Writing from Kingdom Builders this morning. A collection of the men and women at Champions Centre that are passionate about resourcing & advancing the purpose of God!
Today I want to pull a highlight from our guest speaker Dr. Dave Martin. Dr. Dave shared several decisions we need to make to increase our wealth for kingdom building purpose. He started by challenging us that our wealth isn’t decided by God or we’d all be wealthy, but our increase is a result of our obedience to the principles in his Word.
One of the decision he called us to was:

“Decide to passionately pursue the mentorship of financially successful people.”

He challenged us to ask “who are you getting your advice from?” To often we look for the financial advice from the people around us that aren’t any more advanced than we are which creates an ongoing cycle of the same thinking and same results! To often we settle for trying to “make it on our own” when the right mentors could take you further, faster. I loved his quote in response to the traditional thought that “there is no shortcut to success”.

Dr. Dave said, “Mentorship is success without the problem or the pain. Mentorship is your shortcut to success.”

I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather learn from the mistakes of others than have to do it myself!
We encourage you to check out more of Dr. Dave’s resources at www.davemartin.org

8 Reasons Some Churches Do Not Grow - by Perry Noble

Here is an interesting article we found today, by our friend Perry Noble.  Click on the above link to read the entire article on his blog.

“#1 – The Vision Is Not Clear - If people don’t know where a church is supposed to be going…then it will attempt to go everywhere and eventually wind up nowhere.  (Interesting experiment–ask people this coming Sunday at your church, “What is our vision” and see if people give you the same answers or different ones…” (continued in above link)
