GUEST BLOG: Thank You TC2011 Volunteers!
During our Q & A portion of one of our round tables at Team Church, one of our guest pastors, who was visibly moved, asked me this question: ” Do you do a Presenters Lab with your volunteers?” Meaning, did we do a dress rehearsal with our Volunteers to teach and train them on how to serve our guests for conference. He said he had seen many things in the corporate world, but nothing like the hospitality he had received from our Volunteers.
I told the group that we do have a Team Church Rally Night where everyone gets a handbook and we go over what it means to serve at Team Church. But, I said, our volunteers are known all over the country for their hospitality. And it is the heart of our volunteers to serve. It is the culture of our church to genuinely love people and serve them enthusiastically. Our volunteers pray for our guests at our huddles before services that we might be a God connection for someone in need. It is who we are.
You have taken time off work. You have gotten up early (really early). You have served until late into the night. You have done whatever was needed, and then some. You took care the task at hand, and you went beyond. You remained “others” minded even though you were tired and your feet were sore. You served with your whole heart and soul. You did not just practice hospitality, you displayed the heartbeat of Champions Centre and ultimately the heart of God.
Every one of you went above and beyond and our Pastors, our Staff, our guest Pastors and their teams thank you! You made the experience of Team Church come alive! You created the environment that opened the hearts of our guests to receive all that God had for them.Thank You! Thank you all for having the heart of a Champion. You represented Champions Center and the love of God well at TC2011! We love you. Now go home and rest….well done good and faithful servant.
